If "boys are dumb," then girls are "stupid trashy sluts."
How does that feel (for you women who say "boys are dumb")
I hate this phrase and I hate how many times girl's 'like' this status when its posted on fb.
As a man, I'm personally offended by this statement. It is completely retarded to group an entire gender together and label them "dumb."
Just because of a bad experience with a member of the opposite gender, doesn't make the entire gender retarded. I have had my fair share of bad experiences with females and yet I don't label them all as sluts.
I don't know if girls think its cute when they say this. But its not. It just makes you look ignorant.

Flying
Today's article on Yahoo was very interesting. '35 Secrets Your Pilot Won't Tell You.'
“The two worst airports for us: Reagan National in Washington, D.C., and John Wayne in Orange County, California. You’re flying by the seat of your pants trying to get in and out of those airports. John Wayne is especially bad because the rich folks who live near the airport don’t like jet noise, so they have this noise abatement procedure where you basically have to turn the plane into a ballistic missile as soon as you’re airborne.” -Pilot, South Carolina
“At some airports with really short runways, you’re not going to have a smooth landing no matter how good we are: John Wayne Airport; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Chicago Midway; and Reagan National.” -Joe D’Eon, a pilot at a major airline who produces a podcast at flywithjoe.com
I knew that John Wayne wasn't the easiest airport to land in. But I didn't know that it was this universally hated. I personally really like John Wayne. Its quiet, quick, and convenient. I didn't know that O.C. had this 'noise abasement procedure.' No wonder I don't hear to many airplanes flying overhead.
Other interesting revelations:
“Some FAA rules don’t make sense to us either. Like the fact that when we’re at 39,000 feet going 400 miles an hour, in a plane that could hit turbulence at any minute, [flight attendants] can walk around and serve hot coffee and Chateaubriand. But when we’re on the ground on a flat piece of asphalt going five to ten miles an hour, they’ve got to be buckled in like they’re at NASCAR.” -Jack Stephan, US Airways captain based in Annapolis, Maryland, who has been flying since 1984
“Most of the time, how you land is a good indicator of a pilot’s skill. So if you want to say something nice to a pilot as you’re getting off the plane, say ‘Nice landing.’ We do appreciate that.” -Joe D’Eon
“Is traveling with a baby in your lap safe? No. It’s extremely dangerous. If there’s any impact or deceleration, there’s a good chance you’re going to lose hold of your kid, and he becomes a projectile. But the government’s logic is that if we made you buy an expensive seat for your baby, you’d just drive, and you’re more likely to be injured driving than flying.” -Patrick Smith
I'll be telling pilots how awesome their landing is from now on!

Terrorists
Stanley: War? Who are we at war with?
Gabriel: Anyone who impinges on America's freedom. Terrorist states, Stanley. Someone must bring their war to them. They bomb a church, we bomb ten. They hijack a plane, we take out an airport. They execute American tourists, we tactically nuke an entire city. Our job is to make terrorism so horrific that it becomes unthinkable to attack Americans.
This quote is from Swordfish. One awesome movie. In this ever escalating eye-for-an-eye war.. I wonder if this really would be true.

Voting
Its the eve of Nov. 2nd. Voting day. I cannot wait for the day to pass. I'm so tired of watching all the ads. Between Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown, I don't even know who to vote for anymore. Neither of them seem appealing at all. Though I am going to cast my vote for Meg Whitman (lesser of 2 evils sort of deal).
Also, for the judicial seats, I don't even know what to vote for. They are "yes" "no" questions. I don't know anything about any of them so I voted "yes" on all of them because I have not heard any complaints. In addition, how much of an impact do these local government authorities make. Does it even matter who gets elected? None of them stand out and they all seem to have the same goal in mind (which is good) but I just don't know which one to pick.
What the heck are Prop 20 and 27 about? I know they are related, but I don't fully understand what its trying to accomplish.
As for Prop 19 (legalizing marijuana), I'm going to vote "no" on it because I don't think the state should condone drug use. I've heard all the excuses for using MJ for pain, but legalizing it makes it that much easier for kids to obtain and no longer holds the taboo that it does today. I'm going to guess that 80% of people who use it do it for 'recreational purposes' i.e. to get high. That is not something I approve of.
Anyways, off to vote tomorrow!

Lakers are in town.
I'm so happy that the NBA has officially started! It was exciting to see the Lakers playing more seriously than the pre-season. This game was pretty brutal and there were so many turnovers. The bench really turned up the heat the 2nd half and Shannon Brown was epic. Speaking of heat, Heat lost to the Celtics tonight. Can't say I like the Celtics, but I'm glad the Heat lost :)
Anyways, this is my first post!
